It has been said that the larger part of human suffering is caused by the human tendency to focus our attention on memories of the past, anticipations of the future, or on anything else other than the present moment.
The work of Eckhart Tolle in his books The Power of Now and A New Earth is an invaluable resource in teaching us to be more firmly planted in the present. This session will be an overview of Tolle's work, using both theory and experiential exercises to give participants a better understanding of how to create less stress and pain in their lives.
Presenter
Jesse Rabinowitz, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who has practiced in Richmond since 1985, and currently practices at Tucker Psychiatric. He has taught extensively on Tolle's work for the past 10 years.
